Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Today's Pinterest Pinned Recipe is from the amazing people at Damn Delicious... http://damndelicious.net/2014/03/14/slow-cooker-butter-chicken/

Let me tell y'all what...this meal is amazing and the smells that come out from this meal just rocked my world! It took me a bit of time to find a few of the ingredients especially the garma masala, which I found at Publix after a bit of searching. For those that don't know what garma masala(Hindi for Hot Mixture of Spices) is, it is a wonderful blend of 6 different spices that include turmeric, black and white peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds and cardamom pods.

This recipe does involves some pretty simple ingredients, to include coconut milk, curry, onion, chicken and so forth and your crockpot...now I do recommend that you serve this meal at the appointed time 5 hrs and 15 mins or close to it, don't go see a movie that it is 2hrs long 30 mins away(yea I did that).

Also make sure you taste it from time to time to make sure you have enough salt and pepper, I found this out the hard way. I under seasoned a bit so next time I'll make sure I season it better.  We served this tasty dish with jasmine rice infused with coriander, mustard seeds and cumin which just added the right touch and topped it with cilantro.

My husband and son give this recipe 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up and it will be a recipe that finds its way onto our weekly menus more often.

Tomorrow is homemade tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons.
